Overall, I have not liked this project very much. This is because it did not add anything on top of what we learnt last year, as well as it is quite similar to the other brief which was about the climate crisis.
I felt that the app that I created was up to a standard that I am happy with and like the concept that I went with. However, I do feel that I neglected this brief and focused more on the other briefs and did more work for them, and if I had worked more on this brief I would have had more work done for it. Although I do think that I produced a substantial amount of icons, drawings, and animations.

Thinking aloud testing for the last time
I got Sophie to test the app before I finalised the whole theme and design, and she said that she liked the app but did not fully understand the meaning behind the app. To solve this problem I added the cause page in.
After I added the cause page I got my sister to test the app, she said that overall she really liked it and would play it herself. When I asked her if she understood the meaning behind it she said that she kind of understood but not fully, so if I had more time I would add extra bits to the app so that people can fully understand it.

What I would do next/if I had more time
If I had more time I would have personalised each homepage for each animal, for instance with the Salmon I would add fish food, and games for fish.
I would also add more social media and make a website, this would be to make it into more of a campaign than just a stand-alone app.
I would add animations to each of the animals, for instance with the talk button I would then have an animation of the happiness bar going up then the animal looking happy and having some music notes around it.

Content of the app (Characters, background, opening text)
Here is the images and opening text for the app.
"A massive issue in today’s society is that when we eat meat, we stop thinking of that as the animal it used to be, and instead it is food.

This app has been made for people to connect to the animals and realise that they are sentient beings not just food. "

Updates to the idea
I drew out an idea for the site map of the app on paper. This went Loading- Choose animal- Pig- Home- Settings, Food, Games, Talk, Bath.I then redrew up a new site map because I changed some of my ideas as well as added some. This way goes, Open game- The cause- Choose pet- Pig- Home- Settings, Food, Bath, Talk, Game, Shop.
I added in 'The cause' section as I wanted to ensure the players of the game understood the reason that the app was made. I was originally going to have a section in the settings about the cause, however that's quite deep into the app and people aren't likely to press on that button. So if it is the first thing shown in the app it will be more obvious and in the players faces.
I also added the shop option to the app, this was so there would be a good way to add more content to the game for people and bulk it out a little more, as well as giving a bit more of a reason behind playing the game at all. So the way that the player will gain money to buy new items is through playing games, or once their animal gets to a certain age they can sell their animal to an evil farmer however the meaning of the app is to get people to feel emotional towards the animals so they stop thinking of them as food, so hopefully they won't sell them.
